SAFETY SMACKDOWN

Aviation safety enters the ring as we explore technology, human judgment, and what happens when systems get it wrong.!

The 7th Annual Safety Smack Down returns for another full day of aviation safety insights, discussions, and lessons from the real world.

This year's theme, "Judgement Day," explores the relationship between technology and human judgement. Modern systems can improve safety, expand our awareness, and help prevent errors, but what happens when the information they provide is incomplete, misleading, or simply wrong? Our speakers will examine how people and technology work together, where the partnership is strong, where the partnership can break down, and why sound judgement remains essential in an increasingly automated world.

Join aviation professionals, safety leaders, educators, and students as we step into the ring with some of today's most important safety challenges.

The event is free and will be offered in person at FedEx World Headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, with a virtual attendance option available.

The future is in the system. Safety is in the judgement.
